About Miolo
Miolo is a leading Brazilian wine producer, originally founded in the Serra Gaúcha region, which is often regarded as the heart of Brazil’s wine country. The winery’s roots trace back to Italian immigrants, and over time, Miolo has grown into one of the country's most prominent and innovative wine brands. With vineyards in multiple locations—including Campanha Gaúcha, Vale do São Francisco, Vale dos Vinhedos in Brazil, and Mendoza in Argentina—Miolo showcases the diversity of South American terroir.
Its estates benefit from a wide range of climates, from the cooler, temperate Serra Gaúcha to the warmer and drier Campanha Gaúcha and the tropical Vale do São Francisco. This diversity allows Miolo to cultivate many grape varieties, including international favorites such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay, as well as regional stars like Tannat and Touriga Nacional.
Miolo is widely recognized for its red blends, particularly those based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by regional varieties. Their renowned labels, such as Lote 43 and Cuvée Giuseppe, have become benchmarks for Brazilian red wines, while their Reserva series highlights both reds and whites with precision and balance. The producer also offers fresh, vibrant rosés and expressive white wines suitable for many occasions.
As a pioneer in the Brazilian wine industry, Miolo continues to focus on innovation and quality, using modern winemaking methods like temperature-controlled fermentation and rigorous grape selection. Their wines pair well with various foods and are known for their aging potential and versatility.
