About Zolo

Zolo is an Argentine wine producer with a broad Mendoza-based range. Its name appears on accessible, fruit-led wines as well as more ambitious Reserva, Black and Signature selections. The portfolio reflects modern Argentine winemaking, placing international varieties alongside local specialities, with Malbec unmistakably at its centre. Wines include Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, together with red and white blends.

Mendoza, Argentina’s principal wine province, lies on the eastern side of the Andes. It is a dry region in which vineyards rely on irrigation supplied by Andean snowmelt. Sunny days, cool nights and generally low rainfall help grapes achieve colour and ripeness while the nocturnal drop in temperature can retain freshness. Altitude, soils and exposure vary greatly across the province, allowing Mendoza to produce both easy-drinking wines and concentrated reds with ageing capacity. These conditions underpin Zolo’s recognisably ripe, yet generally fresh Argentine style.

Malbec is the heart of the range, from the standard bottling through Reserva, Gaucho Select Reserve and Black Malbec. Expect dark fruit, plum, violet and spice, with cocoa or vanilla notes where oak is used. Cabernet Sauvignon usually offers a firmer, cassis-led profile, while Bonarda tends to be juicier and more floral. Signature Red represents a more selective red blend. Among the whites, Unoaked Chardonnay gives a more direct, fresher expression without dominant oak flavours, while Torrontés is aromatic and floral. Signature White and Sauvignon Blanc add further breadth. Overall, Zolo is known for presenting Mendoza across several varieties, styles and quality levels, with Malbec as its principal reference point.

  • Malbec is the leading red wine
  • Range spans entry wines, Reserva and Signature selections
  • Black Malbec denotes a richer Malbec style
  • Unoaked Chardonnay avoids dominant oak character
  • Torrontés provides an expressive aromatic white style
