About Aurora

Aurora is one of Brazil's oldest and largest wineries, based in the Serra Gaúcha region in the southern part of the country. Known for its cool, humid climate and gently rolling hills, this area is the epicenter of Brazilian wine production. Founded in 1931 as a cooperative by Italian immigrants, Aurora has grown into the nation’s leading producer, with strong communal roots and a diverse portfolio.

Aurora's vineyards are spread across prestigious regions such as Vale dos Vinhedos, Pinto Bandeira, and Campanha Gaúcha. The winery cultivates classic European grape varieties alongside local selections, resulting in a broad range of wines. Aurora produces still wines, sparkling wines, and dessert wines, focusing on freshness, fruit character, and the distinct expression of Brazilian terroir. Its sparkling wines and varietals like Merlot, Chardonnay, and Tannat are internationally recognized.

The house style at Aurora leans toward approachable, fresh, and fruit-driven wines, complimented by more structured, oak-aged Reserva labels. Reds made from Malbec and Cabernet offer ripe tannins and depth, while the whites—often created from Chardonnay or Moscato—are known for their aromatic, lively profile. The Moscatel Espumante is one of the winery's signature sparkling wines.

Aurora is respected for its innovative approach and strong social commitment. As a cooperative, it provides stability and market access for its member families. The blend of tradition, modern viticulture, and the unique landscape positions Aurora at the forefront of South American wine production.
